The Buckaroos Model 4300E insulated saddle is designed primarily for indoor use on cold and hot service. It can be used outdoors if weather protected. Meets MSS SP-58, 9.2.2 for Type 40 Shields.

  • A 360-degree section of polyisocyanurate pipe insulation for greater Thermal Efficiency and compressive strength. With a 4.0 PCF bottom support-section and a 3.0 PCF top section.
  • A 6 mil thickness, .01 perm rated industrial grade vapor retarder film for Superior Condensation Control.
  • A G-90 galvanized steel Buckaroo 180-degree bottom shield (a 360-degree self-clamping shield also available) for Maximum Insulation Protection at hanger locations.
  • A lock-joint to Reduce Heat Gain/Loss along the longitudinal seams to Save Energy.*

The Model 4300E (Extended Insulation) has the insulation extended beyond the saddle for easy application of a tape butt-strip. Always install the specified insulation thickness to insure system performance.

Intended Application:

For indoor use on refrigeration lines, chilled water lines, cold-process piping and thermal-cyclic systems. Use on cold systems where control of condensation is a critical requirement. Use on hot systems up to 300 degrees F to standardize saddle specification. Ideal for domestic hot water and low-pressure (50# max. pressure) steam lines. The Model 4300E insulated saddle saves energy. Insure complete system integrity by eliminating compromised thermal performance at all hanger and support locations.
