Span support
spacing is in accordance with MSS Standard SP-69 and ASTM B31.1.

Maximum Saddle
Loads are based upon outer diameter of bare pipe.
-
The indicated
Span Load is based upon schedule 80 pipe, filled with water and 3 inch
thick, 14 PCF insulation and metal jacket. Concentrated loads such as
valves and flanges must be added if applicable. These are design
responsibilities and should be thoroughly accounted for by
engineering.

Span load must be
determined by pipe wall thickness.
-
*Load
determined with schedule 40 pipe.

Where span loads
are indicated in bold print, it is recommended to specify and install
the Model 3300 or greater.

size Buckaroo Saddle, look up the pipe or tube size in left column, then
select the corresponding insulation thickness column to the right to find
the correct actual Saddle Outer Diameter for proper sizing to fit hanger
and insulated pipe.

Clevis Hanger Sizing Table:
To find the correct Clevis Hanger
size for a Buckaroo Saddle, look up the pipe or tube size in the left
column, then select the corresponding insulation thickness column to the
right to find the correct nominal IPS hanger size. These are standard
call-outs based on nominal pipe sizes. Example: for a 1 x 1, use a 3”
i.p.s. Clevis Hanger. For a 3 x 1.5, use a 6” ips Clevis Hanger, etc.
